Organise your financing – explore different bank products or talk to a mortgage broker.
Decide key features of your property – determine the number of beds, location, distance to schools, commuting distance for work.
Select an experienced broker/community specialist representing multiple properties in the area you want to buy.
Understand the sale process – making an offer, negotiating, agreeing on a price, fees involved, paperwork and contracts required, NOC, transfer process and final handover of your property.
Viewings – view a selection of options within your budget in the areas you are considering. Keep an open mind, and don’t rule anything out.
Make an offer – ask the broker for recent sales data and decide what you think is a fair offer. The broker will negotiate with the Seller on your behalf to reach a final price.
Sign the sales contract – ensure you agree and understand the terms and query anything that you do not understand.
Complete the sale – conveyancer and broker complete the sales process to finalise the transfer of ownership.
